Andhra Pradesh State Medical College Seat Distribution & Fee Structures

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) oversees the counselling and admission of 85% of the total state quota seats in government colleges and 100% of the seats in private colleges across Andhra Pradesh. As per the National Medical Council (NMC), there are 38 Andhra Pradesh state medical colleges and 17 dental colleges. The 38 Andhra Pradesh state medical colleges offer 6,785 MBBS seats. Out of the total 6,785 MBBS seats, NTRUHS oversees counselling for 6,035 MBBS seats, whereas MCC takes care of the remaining 750 seats.

  • Government Colleges: 85% of the MBBS seats in government colleges, which is 2,785, are counselled by NTRUHS.
  • Private Colleges: 100% of the MBBS seats in private colleges, which is 3,250, are counselled by NTRUHS.

 

 

 

MCC Counselling for Andhra Pradesh State Medical Colleges

 

  • Government Colleges: 15% of the MBBS seats in government colleges, which is 475 seats, fall under the All India Quota (AIQ). MCC oversees the counselling of these seats.
  • AIIMS: 125 out of the 750 MBBS seats are available at AIIMS institutes. MCC is responsible for the counselling of these seats.
  • Deemed Universities: MCC counsels 100% of the seats at deemed universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. There are a total of 150 MBBS seats at deemed universities.
