JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling Upgradation, Allotment Eligibility

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has announced that JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation of admission to DNB courses for all India ranks 1 to 57 is available through JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling. The notification was issued on 20.12.2025, and the counselling is scheduled on 12.01.2026.

 

 

 

Students should know that in Jammu and Kashmir, JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation of the DNB programme has been introduced in district and peripheral hospitals to address the shortage of specialists and provide high-quality training locally. Hospitals such as Government Hospital, Gandhinagar, and District Hospital, Udhampur, among others, have been granted accreditation for DNB courses in various specialities. DNB courses are an essential pathway for medical graduates to become certified specialists through structured training in accredited hospitals across India.

Overview of Round 2 Physical Counselling for DNB Courses

 

JKBOPEE is conducting the 2nd Round (upgradation/allotment) of physical counselling for admission to DNB courses for the 2026 session. The JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation of DNB (Diplomate of National Board) courses have been introduced in government and district hospitals of the Union Territory to increase the number of specialist doctors and enhance the quality of medical education. Admission to DNB broad speciality courses (after MBBS) is through JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation, primarily based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG). The broad-speciality DNB programme typically lasts 3 years. Students must know the schedule before applying to the JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling for the upgradation of the DNB course.

Procedures for JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling

 

Candidates participating in JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling must follow the procedures. Read the instructions given below to know about the procedures for JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling.

Procedure to follow while applying for the JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 Physical Counselling:

  1. Physical Reporting and Documents

All eligible and interested candidates for JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation must report in person at the J&K BOPEE Office, Jammu/Srinagar, on the scheduled date between 10:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. for attendance and registration. Students must carry the following original documents:

  • Domicile Certificate
  • NOC issued by the Health and Medical Education Department
  • NEET-PG 2025 Score Card
  • MBBS/PG Diploma certificate

 

  1. Counselling Fee Payment for JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation

 

1.    Every participating candidate must deposit a counselling fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only).

2.    Payment is to be made through POS machines available at the BOPEE offices in Jammu/Srinagar using Debit/Credit cards.

3.    Candidates who have already paid the counselling fee online during the 1st round do not need to pay it again in this round.

 

  1. Authorisation in Case of Inability to Attend

If a candidate is unable to attend counselling in person on the designated date due to unavoidable circumstances, they may authorise a close family member (blood relative) to participate on their behalf for the JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation.

The following conditions apply:

    1. Authorisation must be given in the prescribed format of the Board.
    2. The authorised representative must produce the authorisation letter along with their own Identity Card and Aadhaar Card at the time of counselling.
    3. In the absence of these documents, the authorised person will not be allowed to participate in JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation counselling. Participation through an authorised representative will be at the candidate’s own risk and responsibility.

Eligibility to Participate in JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria to participate in JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation counselling for DNB admissions in Jammu and Kashmir 2025. The following categories of candidates are eligible for upgradation to JKBOPEE J&K Round 2.

  1. Candidates who did not get a seat in the first round.
  2. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round and have joined the allotted College/Institute.
  3. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round but could not join due to reasons such as:

1.    Deficient/invalid documents

2.    Non-submission of the fee

3.    Non-reporting for admission, etc.

  1. Candidates who resigned from the allotted seat of the first round by or before the last date of admission at the concerned College/Institution.
  2. Candidates figuring in Annexure-A of Notification No. 204-BOPEE of 2025 dated 13-12-2025 who did not participate in the first round of counselling are also eligible for the JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation round.

 

The tentative details of seats to be filled during this JKBOPEE J&K Round 2 upgradation round of physical counselling will be uploaded on the Board’s official website (www.jkbopee.gov.in) one day before the counselling date. This will help candidates decide whether they wish to attend counselling.
