The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that candidates who have registered for the NEET 2024 exam will be provided with an application correction facility. This facility will allow candidates to make any necessary corrections or changes to their application. However, it is essential to note that only candidates who have submitted their NEET 2024 application form and paid the requisite application fee within the stipulated date will be eligible to use this facility. To correct the NEET 2024 application, candidates can follow a simple process, which the NTA will provide.

 

 

Kindly follow the instructions below to make corrections in your NEET (UG) 2024 application form:

 

 

1. Visit the official website of NEET at neet.online.in or click on the link https://neet.ntaonline.in/frontend/web/

 

2. Click the 'NEET (UG) 2024 Correction' tab

 

3. Login using your NEET 2024 registration credentials

 

4. Click on the 'Correction in Application Form' tab NEET 2024

 

5. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and email address, and click on the 'Verify and Proceed' tab NEET 2024

 

6. Make the necessary changes

 

7. Click on 'Save'

 

8. Finally, download the updated Application Confirmation form NEET 2024

 

Correcting the NEET 2024 registration does not incur an additional fee; however, specific fields such as name, email ID, and mobile number cannot be edited.

• The NMC has released data about 1,04,891 admissions to MBBS courses across 673 medical colleges for the academic year 2023-24.
  
  
• However, it has become clear that the admission data provided by specific colleges lacks comprehensive information as required by the NMC.
  
  
• The admission data should ideally include details such as the type of college (government or private), total number of seats, seat sharing arrangements, category of seats, reservation category of students, NEET scores, PCB scores, and fees charged.
  
  
• Unfortunately, the data released by the NMC lacks crucial information such as the category of seats, reservation category, NEET scores, PCB scores, and fees paid, raising concerns about transparency and fairness in the admission process.

 

NMC's Response and Actions Taken NEET 2024

 

 

 

 

• The NMC issued a circular on October 9, 2023, urging all medical colleges to upload comprehensive details of admitted students for the academic year 2023-24.
  
  
• Despite this directive, some colleges must upload the required data or submit incomplete information.
  
  
• Consequently, the NMC issued a public notice on December 18, 2023, acknowledging the incomplete data upload and emphasizing the importance of ensuring all eligible students' names are included in the registration list.
  
  
• The NMC has urged students admitted to MBBS courses in 2023-24 to verify their names on the list available on the Commission's website. Students whose names are not listed are advised to promptly contact the Directorate of Medical Education or Counseling Authority for assistance.

 

Colleges Not Included in the Data

 

• The admission data for specific colleges, including 20 functional AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry, is unavailable.

 

• Additionally, data for four other medical colleges, accounting for 420 seats, has yet to be included.

 

• The colleges with missing data include Kannur Medical College in Kerala, Government Medical College in Doda, Kashmir, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College is in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, and M G M Medical College is in Jamshedpur.
