The Supreme Court of India has ruled it's final judgement on the NEET UG 2024 Controversy. In a pathbreaking final verdict, there will be no Re-NEET in the year 2024 for medical aspirants nationwide. The ruling came forward as there was no sufficient evidence to prove sytematic breach. Alongside this, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud highlighted key parameters like centre-wise qualification rate, no discrepency in the Top 100 scorers, among others to put forth the Court's decision.

Key Conclusions on NEET Leak Confirmed Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud has confirmed the undisputed leak of the NEET UG 2024 paper in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) and Patna. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted status reports on July 10, 17, and 21, following the transfer of the investigation. The top 100 students are distributed across 95 centres and the state SG. The Solicitor General reported that the NEET UG 2024 exam occurred in 4,750 centres. Among the top 100 students, they were distributed across 95 centres, 56 cities, and 18 states/UTs.
Centre-wise Success Rate for NEET UG 2024
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted data showing no considerable increase in the success rate this year. In Sikar, the success rate for 2023 was 20.83% and 19.22% in 2024. In Namakkal, it was 14.78% in 2023 and 16.98% in 2024. In Kota, it was 13.1% last year and only 12% this time.
OMR Sheet Seal Broken Prior to NEET UG Exam
Mr. Mehta informs the Supreme Court that question papers and OMR sheets are sealed in non-tearable plastic covers. He says there is seven-layered security in place. However, one case presented by the Patna Police showcased the leaked question paper’s burnt remnants.
The seized material belonged to a female candidate, who had raised the concern of her OMR sheet & Question paper being tampered with, as the containing bag was re-sealed before she received it.
