- Addition of 700 New NEET 2025 Exam Centers: The Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have put forth stricter security measures to avoid such illegal practices in the NEET exam 2025. Over 700 new NEET 2025 exam centers were added for NEET 2025 sesion. This significant increase in the number of exam centers across 566 cities in India despite a drop in registrations for attempting the NEET exam 2025 will avoid the congestion. This will also allow for close monitoring of the candidates while they write the exam.
Efforts were made to include many government-run institutions, schools, and colleges while looking for new exam centers. The 700 new NEET 2025 exam centers also included a few private centers.
- Security Protocols: The education authority called for police escorts while transporting the question papers to different locations. The district magistrate and the Superintendent of Police (SP) will also be monitoring the question paper movements regularly. The authorities will keep a close eye on the coaching centers and digital platforms to thwart any attempts of malpractices.
- Multi-layered Frisking: For the previous years’ NEET exams, frisking was mandatory with hand-held metal detectors. The ministry has called for stricter ‘Multi-layered Frisking’ before candidates enter the exam centers. The multi-layered frisking will be done by the police designated by the NTA.
- CCTV Surveillance: CCTVs were not installed in some of the exam centers previously. To regularly and effectively monitor the movement of candidates and question papers, the ministry has called for the installation of functional CCTVs across all the exam centers.
- Dedicated Platform to Report Suspicious Claims: The NTA has launched a dedicated platform on its official website to report unauthorized websites and social media accounts claiming NEET UG 2025 paper access. Candidates can also report Individuals claiming access to the NEET exam content and Impersonators posing as NTA or government officials. This initiative is a part of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act to prevent malpractices in the exam.
