The NEET exam was held on May 4th, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates are eagerly waiting to know their results and the qualifying NEET 2025 expected cut-off marks.




 

The NEET cut off marks 2025 will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after the release of the NEET 2025 results. The cut off marks 2025 are the minimum qualifying marks required by candidates for passing the NEET exam 2025 and participation in the further counselling process. The NEET cut off marks 2025 will be released on NTA’s official website. The category-wise qualifying cut-off marks are decided by the NTA based on factors such as exam paper difficulty, number of candidates participated in the exam, and seat availability. As per reports, the NEET exam 2025 was tougher for a majority of the candidates. Most students claimed that questions from Physics and Biology were time-intensive and tough compared to the previous years. These factors could be considered by the NTA for possible lower required cut offs in NEET 2025. The qualifying NEET cut off marks for 2025 are different for each category.

  • 50th Percentile (NEET 2025 Expected Cut-off Marks): The General (UR) category is expected to have at least 50th percentile and marks ranging from 720 to 110.

  • 45th Percentile: For general PH category, the NEET 2025 expected cut-off marks range from 720 to 110 like the General (UR) category.

  • 40th Percentile (NEET 2025 Expected Cut-off Marks): This is the lowest expected percentile compared to other categories. For candidates under the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories, the NEET 2025 expected cut-off marks range from 90 to 109.

 

The category-wise qualifying cut-off marks mentioned above are based on the previous years’ trends. The category-wise qualifying cut-off marks are, however, decided by the NTA. Candidates must wait for the final category-wise qualifying cut-off marks for 2025 before taking decision on the colleges to pursue their medical education.

NEET 2025 Expected Percentile for 350 Marks

 

With the conclusion of the NEET exam 2025, many candidates are looking for the NEET 2025 expected rank for mid-range scores. The minimum and maximum NEET 2025 expected ranks for 350 marks are 2,59,731 and 2,61,331. These rank figures are considerably higher than that of NEET 2024, which were 4,81,404 and 4,84,008.

 

The cut-off percentiles are expected to be lower for NEET 2025; however, 350 marks are considered the minimum for OBC, ST, and SC candidates. The cut offs can vary from college to college and state to state depending on the demand and competition for the seats. Here is an analysis of the colleges which candidates could get in by securing over 350 marks in NEET exam 2024:

 

  • Scheduled Castes: As per the 2024 data, candidates under the SC category with over 350 marks could get seats in Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.

  • Scheduled Tribe: Candidates under the ST category with over 350 marks in the NEET exam could secure seats at Employees' State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Bangalore, Employees' State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Gulbarga, and Employees' State Insurance Corporation Medical College Chennai.

  • Other Backward Classes: Candidates with over 350 marks under the OBC category could secure seats at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, Delhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.

 

 

 

Key Points Regarding the NEET 2025 Expected Cut-off Marks

 

 

Here are a few vital points for candidates to note regarding the NEET 2025 expected cut-off marks:

 

  • Lower Qualifying Cut offs for 2025: The required qualifying cut off marks are expected to be lower for NEET 2025 due to the difficulty of the NEET exam.

  • Higher Cut offs for Government/ Private Colleges: The qualifying cut-offs in government colleges (like AIIMS Delhi) are expected to be higher like the previous years due to the higher competition in these colleges and the subsidized fee structure. The safe scores for getting admission at such colleges would be between 650 and 680. The cut off marks 2025 in private colleges are expected to be lower; however, the fee structure in these colleges will be higher.

  • Check NTA’s Website Regularly: Candidates must regularly check for updates from NTA’s official website as it is the source of credible information. The official cut off marks for all the categories will be announced on NTA’s website along with the NEET 2025 results.
