DME Tamil Nadu State Medical Counselling Post - Registration Process

DME, Tamil Nadu, conducts state medical counselling for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 admissions. DME has started the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 admission process for eligible candidates.

 

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, conducts counselling for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 admissions. DME has started the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 admission process for eligible candidates.

 

It also conducts counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 for 85% of seats under state quota and 100% in private colleges. The authority requires aspirants to complete the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form to fulfill eligibility. DME releases the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 counselling merit list, which includes the names of the qualified candidates.

Counselling Process Of Tamil Nadu NEET UG

The authorities commenced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG online counseling at the official website. Candidates participating in the counselling process can refer to the following steps to understand the detailed counseling process in Tamil Nadu.

 

The DME, Tamil Nadu, conducts state counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET UG. There are four rounds of counselling.

 

1. Round 1

2. Round 2

3. Mop - Up Round

4. Stray Round

 

Round 1 of Online Tamil Nadu State Medical Counselling

 



 

1) The candidates should pay a non-refundable amount of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) towards the Registration Fee and Security Deposit (Refundable)amount Rs. 1 00, 000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) via online Bank payment portal via Bank payment portal.

 

b) A candidate who has yet to register in Round 1 of online counseling will not be permitted to attend Round 2 online counselling. 

 

c) A candidate who has taken a seat and is Not Joined/ Resigned from the course within the stipulated time will be eligible to attend the subsequent rounds of online counselling for the academic year 2023-2024. 

 

d) Re-allotment is permitted only during Round 2 of counseling based on rank.

 

e) If a candidate fails to join the College within the stipulated time in Round 1 of counselling, they will be permitted to participate in Round 2 online counselling.

Round 2 of Online Tamil Nadu State Medical Counselling



 

a) Since Round 2 is a re-allotment round, fresh registration is not permitted for this round.

 

b) Candidates wishing to retain the college they took in the first round of online counseling can skip the second round.

 

c) Candidates should be careful while choices filling, and it is advisable to choose preferred colleges only.

 

d) Candidates can edit their Choice, but once they lock their choice during online counselling, they cannot change it later.

 

e) If the candidate is Re-allotted in Round 2, then the MBBS/BDS seat allotted during Round 1 of Counselling will be allotted to other candidates in descending order, not ascending order. 

 

f) If the candidate has yet to join the course after completing Round 2 of Online counselling will be eligible to attend the subsequent Rounds of online counselling for the academic year.

 

g) If the candidate has Joined but Discontinued the course after completion of Round 2 of Online counselling, they will be eligible to attend the subsequent Rounds of online counselling for the academic year 2023-2024.

 

Note: However, they will have to forfeit the Registration Fee, Security Deposit, and tuition Fee and pay the discontinuation fee.

 

 

Eligible Candidates for Round 2

 

a) Candidates who registered and chose locked in Round 1 but got no seats. 

 

b) Candidates who have joined an allotted Medical/Dental College during round 1 of allotment. 

 

c) Candidates who have yet to join the allotted seats during Round 1. 

 

d) Candidates who have joined and resigned their seats in Round 1.

Mop-Up Counselling Round

 

 

 

a) Candidate has to pay the Registration Fee of Rs. 1,000/-(non-refundable) via the online Bank payment portal.

 

NOTE: Candidates who have already paid the registration fee during previous rounds of counselling need only to pay again if they have been allotted seats. 

 

b) The candidate's downloading of the allotment order (after payment of the Tuition Fee) is considered joining the college/Seat, and the candidate has to report to the institution within the reporting time.

 

Note: Failure to report will be considered discontinued, and the candidate should pay the Discontinuation Fee.

 

 

 

Eligible Candidates For Mop-Up

 

a) A Candidate not holding any MBBS/BDS seats under the All India Quota and State Quota will be allowed to participate in State Quota Mop-up counselling. 

 

b) The candidates who participated in Round- 1 and Round –2 but were not allotted seats are eligible for State Quota Mop-up counselling. 

 

c) The candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and Did Not Join/Resign from the seat before the stipulated date and Participated in Round 2 but were not allotted any seat are eligible for State Quota Mop-up counselling. 

 

d) Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but did not join/resign their seat before the stipulated time and did Not Participate in Round 2 are eligible for State Quota Mop-up counselling. 

 

e) If the candidate discontinues or does not join the course after completing Round 2 of online counselling, he/she will be eligible to attend the subsequent (Mop-Up) round of online counselling.

Stray Vacancy Round

 

 

The Selection Committee will conduct a stray round of Counselling as per the guidelines of MCC/DGHS.

 

a) Candidates not holding any seats in the MBBS/BDS course will be eligible to participate in this Counselling. 

 

b) Candidates who have joined in All India and State Quota seats for MBBS/BDS will not be eligible to participate in this Counselling. 

 

c) Downloading the allotment order by the candidate (after payment of the Tuition Fee) is considered joining the college/Seat, and the candidate has to report to the institution within the reporting time. 

 

Note: Failure to report will be considered discontinued, and the candidate should pay the Discontinuation Fee.
