The counselling process involves crucial stages determining seat allotment, document verification, and admission formalities. The following steps give an in-depth look into the procedures, ensuring candidates are well-prepared for the upcoming stages.

  • Publication of Seat Allotment List: Following Round 1, the Andhra Pradesh authorities will release the seat allotment list. This list details the colleges and courses allotted to candidates based on merit, preferences filled during the counseling process, and the availability of seats. Candidates must check this list to know their allocated seats and plan their next steps accordingly.

  • Options for Candidates: Candidates who receive seat allotments have several choices:

  • Acceptance: Candidates can accept the allotted seat and proceed with the necessary admission formalities.

  • Float: If satisfied with the current seat but willing to upgrade in subsequent rounds, candidates can choose the "float" option.

  • Slide: Candidates can opt for "slide" to accept an allotted seat in another course or college of higher preference within the same category.

  • Document Verification and Admission: After making their choices, candidates must appear for document verification at the designated centers. The formal admission process begins after successfully verifying and paying the requisite fee. Candidates must ensure all necessary documents are to facilitate a smooth verification process.

  • Freezing or Modification of Options: Candidates can freeze their allotted seat if content with the current allocation. Alternatively, they can modify their options in subsequent rounds based on seat availability and personal preferences. This stage is crucial for candidates to align their choices with their priorities.

  • Mop-Up Rounds: Mop-up rounds may be conducted in the event of vacancies after subsequent rounds. These rounds aim to fill the remaining seats, often accommodating candidates who haven’t secured admission in earlier rounds. Candidates should stay informed about mop-up rounds and be prepared to participate if necessary.

  • Subsequent Rounds (If Applicable): If seats remain vacant after Round 1, successive rounds of counseling may be conducted. Candidates who did not receive an allotment in the first round or those wishing to participate in further rounds can register and participate accordingly. Candidates need to stay updated on the counseling schedule and deadlines.
