Earlier, on July 14th, the NMC announced that no new medical colleges or addition of seats will be accepted for the NEET 2025 session. This decision was made by NMC as multiple medical colleges across India resorted to unethical ways for getting themselves approved for the NEET 2025 session. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids across multiple institutes and revealed the individuals who were involved in giving or accepting bribes in exchange for the favorable inspection report. The individuals involved in the favorable inspection report bribery included doctors, college authorities, intermediaries, and also members from NMC.
