1. Status of Government Dental College & Hospital, Vijayawada: Starting from the academic year 2024-25, the Government Dental College & Hospital, Vijayawada, has been reclassified as a Non-Statewide Institution under the jurisdiction of Andhra University (AU). As a result, admissions will now follow a structure of 85% local candidates and 15% unreserved candidates based on the AU and Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) regions.

AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Key Instructions for Candidates

 

 

1. Eligible Candidates: Only AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota candidates listed in the Provisional Final Merit List displayed on 11.09.2024 are eligible to exercise web options for all 17 dental colleges based on their order of priority.
   
   
2. Non-Eligible Candidates: AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Candidates not listed in the Provisional Final Merit List or are found ineligible as per the notification dated 06.10.2024 are not eligible to participate in the web counseling process.
   
   
3. Web Options: AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Candidates should exercise ONETIME OPTIONS for all 17 dental colleges according to their priority. They must be careful when selecting options, as the choices will be final, and no changes will be allowed after submission. The same options will be applied across all phases of counseling, including special category seats (PwBD, NCC, CAP, etc.).
   
   
4. Password Authentication: When submitting web options, candidates will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile number and email, which they must use for verification.
   
   
5. No Further Notifications: This is the ONLY chance to exercise web options. No further notifications will be issued for additional chances.

AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Seat Allotment and Reporting

 

Once a seat is allotted, candidates will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number. After the web options schedule closes, they should visit the university website to check their allotment status.

 

AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Candidates who have been allotted a seat are required to:

 

1. Download the Allotment Order: AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota Candidates can download their allotment order after paying the University Fee of Rs. 10,600/-.

Candidates wishing to shift to other courses, such as BAMS, BHMS, or Paramedical courses, must exit the BDS seat before Phase III concludes.
   
   
2. Discontinuation Fee: If an AP BDS Course Competent Authority Quota candidate discontinues the BDS course after joining, they must pay a Discontinuation Fee of Rs. 1,18,000/- (including GST).
