The first round of Assam NEET Counselling 2024, which will select candidates for Round 1 Para-Medical Admission into the first-year Diploma in Round 1 Para-Medical Admission courses in the Institutes of Para-Medical Sciences attached to Government Medical Colleges of Assam for the session 2024, will take place from September 23 to September 27, 2024.


For Round 1 Para-Medical Admission Candidates who appeared in the Paramedical Entrance Examination conducted by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) are eligible to participate in the Round 1 Para-Medical Admission conducted by Assam NEET Counselling 2024 process.

Assam NEET Counselling 2024 Schedule

As per the Notice by DME, Candidates are expected to attend the Assam NEET Counselling 2024 at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, located at Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati – 22, at 10:00 AM on their scheduled dates. Missing the Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on the scheduled date will result in the candidate's forfeiture of a seat claim.

Highlights on the Round 1 Para-Medical Admission according to the Notice by DME:

  1. Candidates seeking Round 1 Para-Medical Admission are required to appear personally for Assam NEET Counselling 2024 at the specified date and time.

  2. The decision of the Selection Board is final in case of any dispute or controversy.

  3. For candidates applying under the TGL/Ex-TGL category, a separate Assam NEET Counselling 2024 session will be conducted at the Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare, Assam, and the Directorate will notify the date.

  4. Category-wise Counselling will begin with filling unreserved seats. Once these are filled, the remaining seats will be allocated to candidates in their respective reserved categories based on their ranks and availability.

 

Documents to be Produced During Assam NEET Counselling 2024 Round 1 Para-Medical Admission

Candidates must bring original documents along with a set of photocopies and recent passport-size photographs. The following documents are required for Round 1 Para-Medical Admission:


  1. Admit Card of Paramedical Entrance Examination 2024.

  2. Mark sheets of HSSLC (12th) or equivalent examination.

  3. Admit Card of HSLC (10th) or equivalent examination.

  4. Pass Certificates for Class 10 and Class 12.

  5. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).

  6. Caste Certificate (if applicable).

  7. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/MOBC candidates).

  8. Unemployed Family Certificate (if applicable).

  9. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate (if applicable).

  10. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate (if applicable).

  11. Relevant certificates for candidates under the Char Area Quota, issued by the Char Area Development Authority and countersigned by the concerned DC/SDO.

 

Candidates must submit the above documents to avoid cancellation of their admission eligibility for Assam NEET Counselling 2024.

 

Guidelines for Special Categories

 

1. PwD (DIVYANG) Quota

 

  • PwD candidates who secured up to 31 marks in the Paramedical Entrance Examination will attend Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on September 23, 2024.

  • Seats will be allocated based on merit and availability within the PwD category.

 

2. EWS Category

 

  • Candidates under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, securing ranks between 413 and 663, will attend Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on September 25, 2024.

  • Proper documentation for EWS must be submitted for seat allocation.

 

3. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST-P), and ST-H Categories

 

  • SC category candidates between 413 and 1411 will be considered for Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on September 25, 2024.

  • Candidates under ST (Plains) with ranks between 413 and 1450 will also participate on the same day.

  • ST (Hills) candidates ranked 413 to 2121 will attend Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on September 26, 2024.

 

4. OBC/MOBC-NCL Category

 

  • Assam NEET Counselling, 2024 for OBC/MOBC-NCL candidates, ranked from 413 to 904 will occur on September 26, 2024.

 

5. Unemployed Family Quota

 

  • Candidates under the Unemployed Family Quota will be considered for Assam NEET Counselling 2024 on September 27, 2024, provided they have secured ranks between 413 and 2132.

  • A valid certificate proving the unemployment status of the family is mandatory.

 

6. Char Area Quota

 

  • Assam NEET Counselling 2024 for candidates between 413 and 2132 under the Char Area Quota will be held on September 27, 2024.

  • Relevant documentation from the Char Area Development Authority, countersigned by the concerned authorities, must be presented.

 

Important Instructions for Candidates

 

  1. Assam NEET Counselling 2024 Form: Candidates must bring a duly filled-out form, available on the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) website (www.dme.assam.gov.in).
