NEET UG
A Hello Mentor Overview of NEET UG 2024 Key Changes and Re-Examination Details
The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET UG 2024 on 5 May 2024. The exam, held from 02:00 to 05:20 PM (IST), took place across 4750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 cities abroad, with over 24 lakh candidates appearing for the test. The results for NEET UG 2024 were declared on 4 June 2024.
Compensatory Marks for NEET UG 2024
Post-examination, grievances were raised concerning allocating compensatory/grace marks to 1563 candidates who experienced time loss during the exam. In response, the NTA constituted a High Powered Committee to examine these issues thoroughly. After a detailed review, the NTA accepted the Committee's recommendations. Consequently, a decision has been made to reconduct the NEET UG 2024 for the affected candidates.
The re-examination is exclusively for candidates awarded compensatory marks during the initial examination. Here are the specific instructions and conditions:
1. Cancellation of Previous Scores: The scorecards of all 1563 affected candidates issued on 4 June 2024 are now cancelled and withdrawn. These candidates will receive their actual scores without compensation through their registered email IDs.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NTA website and their registered email accounts for continuous updates.
