Grace Marks Issue and Re-exam for 1563 Candidates

 

In response to various cases and representations regarding time loss faced by candidates, the NTA has used a normalization formula devised and adopted by the apex court in a 2018 judgment. This formula was applied to compensate candidates with grace marks. According to an NTA spokesperson, some candidates' marks could be 718 or 719 due to these adjustments.

 

To ensure transparency, the NTA provided 1563 candidates with an opportunity to retake the exam. Fresh admit cards were issued on June 20, and the re-exam was conducted on June 23, 2024.
