This article contains the complete information of BREAKING: “No Re-exam for NEET UG 2024” - NTA Clarifies.
Every NEET applicant who took the NEET UG exam is wondering if NEET UG 2024 will be conducted again. As part of the formal notice from the NTA, candidates can read the article that explains this news.
The National Eligibility and Entrance Test, or NEET for short, is required to be admitted to programs in veterinary medicine, MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and AYUSH. The National Testing Agency (NTA) stated that on May 5, 2024, more than 24 lakh medical students took the NEET UG 2024 exam.
Additionally, candidates nationwide have voiced worries about the likelihood of delaying NEET UG 2024 in light of the publication dates for the Lok Sabha elections. This article examines the elements that can cause NEET UG 2024 to be re-conducted. Applicants can read this post to find out more.
Following the exposure of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET 2024) scam in Gujarat and Bihar, students started to doubt the validity of the medical entrance exam and called for its rescheduling; over 23.81 lakh applicants applied for the May 5, 2024, NEET UG exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed any claims of paper leaks as untrue and unfounded. NTA Director Sadhana Parashar said, "To dispel these rumors, we confirm that every question paper has been accounted for." Regarding the re-conduct of NEET UG 2024, the NTA has not released an official announcement.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the integrity of the NEET exam is unaffected despite reports of a question paper leak at one testing location. Every centre, except this one, began and completed the exam on schedule and without any problems.
The NTA continued by saying that about 120 students impacted by the incident were allowed to repeat the test on May 5 to assure fairness. At other centres, the exams went forward according to plan, and they were unaffected by this occurrence. In addition, NTA said that NEET UG 2024 would not be held again.
Following the exam on May 6, 2024, Dr. Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director, released a notice in response to social media posts regarding NEET UG 2024. This statement concerns the social media posts concerning the NEET UG 2024 exam held on May 5, 2024. These posts suggest that the question paper was leaked before the exam. To clear up any confusion, the National Testing Agency (NTA) provides the following information for candidates, their parents, teachers, and everyone concerned:
1. The NTA successfully conducted the NEET UG 2024 exam on May 5, 2024, across 4750 centers in 571 cities, including 14 cities abroad.
2. According to NTA’s security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures, the social media posts claiming a paper leak are entirely false. Every question paper has been accounted for. Moreover, once the gates of the exam centers are closed, no one from outside is allowed inside the halls, which are under CCTV surveillance.
3. According to the press release from NTA on 6 May, there was an incident at a center in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, where some students took the question papers away against their will before the exam was over. A picture of this question paper is being wrongly linked to the alleged paper leak, which is misleading and false. After the exam has begun, no outside individual or organization can enter the centers.
4. All other photographs of question papers circulating on social media are unrelated to the NEET UG 2024 question paper.
5. Despite this, there have been cases of malpractice and impersonation. Those who engage in such activities face severe consequences.
6. NTA also conducts post-exam data analysis to detect unfair means (UFM) cases. According to current rules, actions taken in UFM cases include the cancellation of candidature and a ban from future exams.
7. NEET UG 2024 saw record-high registrations this year, with over 23.81 lakh students registering—the highest ever—with over 10 lakh male and over 13 lakh female students. This increase was facilitated by selecting several smaller cities as centers, especially in the Northeast, Puducherry, Jammu and Kashmir, and other states.
In light of the above, candidates, their parents, teachers, and everyone concerned are urged not to pay attention to such rumors and to focus on their upcoming exams.
