From the table above, it is clear that the most number of seats, i.e., 17 seats, were added for the Unreserved Category (UR). 4 and 3 new PG medical seats were added under Ezhava (EZ) and Other Backward Hindu (BH) categories, respectively.

13 new seats were added to MMH:Malabar Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Kozhikkode, the highest among the 9 colleges. This was followed by TRM:Travancore Medical College, Mylapore, Umayanalloor P O, Kollam and KDM:P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniyamkulam, Ottapalam, Palakkad, with 7 and 3 seats, respectively.
