CENTAC NEET UG Application Form 2024 (Extended) - Last date on 08 August

 

CENTAC (Central Admission Committee Puducherry) is overseeing the NEET UG 2024 counselling process for the 2024-25 academic year. The registration for CENTAC MBBS 2024 counselling began on July 28, 2024, with an initial deadline of August 6, 2024.

 

To accommodate applicants who have registered but need more time to complete their applications due to delays in obtaining Revenue and other certificates, the deadline for online submissions is extended to August 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM. No further extensions will be granted.

 

The NEET UG 2024 counselling process conducted by CENTAC includes MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc & AH courses, offered by Government and Self-Financing Medical, Dental, and Veterinary colleges in Puducherry.

 

NEET UG 2024 took place on May 5, 2024, with results announced on June 4, 2024. Following a Supreme Court ruling, NTA held a re-exam on June 23, 2024, and released revised results on July 26, 2024. CENTAC is responsible for admissions to 85% of State Quota seats and will follow the MCC schedule for the counselling process.

 

According to the official notification, CENTAC will start counselling sessions for UG and PG NEET courses for the 2024-25 academic year according to the timelines set by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

CENTAC NEET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

 

CENTAC has established distinct eligibility criteria for different quota seats, including General, Minority, and Management quotas. Here are the eligibility requirements for General quota seats:

 

 

• Candidates must have passed the Class 12 (Higher Secondary) examination from the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or an equivalent board.

 

• Candidates must have secured 50% in the aggregate for Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, Botany, and Zoology (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates). Each subject must be passed individually.

 

• English must be one of the subjects studied.

 

• The applicant must be an Indian national.

 

• Non-resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are also eligible.

 

• Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.

 

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET UG 2024.

NEET UG CENTAC Counselling 2024 Instructions

 

CENTAC has provided the following guidelines for candidates:

 

 

• When filling out the application, candidates should enter their AIR in place of the NEET UG 2024 Rank.

 

• OBC candidates applying for BVSc National Self-Supporting Seats must attach their All India OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate with their application.

 

• Puducherry residents need to submit a residence Affidavit with their application. The format for this Affidavit can be found on the CENTAC website.

How to Apply for CENTAC NEET UG 2024 Counselling 

 

To complete the registration and application process for CENTAC NEET UG 2024 counselling, candidates should follow these steps:

 

 

Step 1: Visit the CENTAC official website at centacpuducherry.in.

 

Step 2: Click on the Registration tab under the UG-NEET section at the bottom of the page, or use the direct link: https://centacpuducherry.in/UgNeet_2024/registration.html.

 

Step 3: Enter your details, including name, father’s/guardian’s name, email address, and mobile number, and create a password. Click on the Register tab.

 

Step 4: Log in to your account using the credentials provided during pre-registration. The CENTAC NEET UG 2024 counselling application form will appear. Fill in your details carefully and remember to include your college preferences.

 

Step 5: After completing the personal and academic details, upload a scanned image of your passport-sized photograph in JPEG format. The image should be between 20 KB and 50 KB. Additionally, upload self-attested copies of the required documents.

 

Step 6: After completing the above-mentioned steps, candidates have to submit the counselling fee. 

 

Step 7: After submitting the counselling fee, candidates should take at least two printouts of the filled application form after following the above-mentioned steps.

Candidates are advised to fill the All India Counselling Rank against the NEET UG 2024 Rank field which is mentioned in the NEET 2024 re-revised scorecard released on July 26, 2024, while filling up the application form.
