DU MBBS and BDS Medical College Admissions 2025, Seat Matrix, Eligibility

The University of Delhi (DU) was established in 1922. It is considered as one of the largest and most prestigious universities in India. For both the DU MBBS and BDS medical college admissions 2025, 15% of the seats fall under the All India Quota and 85% of the seats under the Delhi Quota. There are a total of 659 MBBS and 50 BDS seats at DU.

 

 

The University of Delhi (DU) has released the information bulletin for the admission of MBBS and BDS candidates. Candidates must visit the Delhi University’s (DU) official website to find the information bulletin. This article informs candidates about the eligibility criteria for DU MBBS and BDS medical college admissions 2025, admission procedure, seat matrix, required documents, and other vital information.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria for DU MBBS and BDS Medical College Admissions 2025

 

The University of Delhi conducts the MBBS course in 3 medical colleges, which include Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS). The BDS course is only conducted at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS). Candidates must know the eligibility criteria before applying for admissions at these colleges. Here are the eligibility criteria for admissions at DU:

 

  • Age: Candidates must be 17 years of age by (on or before) December 31st, 2025. Candidates aging 17 after December 31st, 2025, i.e., January 1st, 2026, will not be eligible for admissions at DU.

  • Education: For the Delhi Quota, candidates must pass their 11th and 12th exams from recognized schools within the NCT of Delhi.

  • NEET Qualified: Candidates must have passed the NEET exam 2025 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) with the required qualifying percentiles.  

  • Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit, as specified in the information bulletin.

 

 

 

DU MBBS and BDS Medical College Admissions 2025 Procedure

 

Candidates are allotted seats at Delhi University only through NEET counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Government of India), and DGHS. Here are the steps for admissions at the Delhi University:

 

  • Information Bulletin: Candidates are advised to go through the entire information bulletin posted on DU’s official website before proceeding for admissions at the Delhi University.

  • Application: Candidates must register for the NEET counselling process by visiting MCC’s official website (https://mcc.nic.in/). Only those candidates who are successfully allotted seats by MCC in the NEET counselling process can apply DU by visiting the official website https://fmsc.du.ac.in/. Candidates must fill in the required details, upload the certificates, photos, and signatures. They must also pay the required fees to complete their application successfully. The link to register will be released later on https://fmsc.du.ac.in/.

  • Fees: The registration fees are the same for both the All India Quota (AIQ) and Delhi Quota. The registration fee for SC/ST and Person with Disabilities (PwBD) categories is Rs. 1,000/-. The fee for Unreserved, OBC/EWS, and other categories is Rs. 1,500/-. Candidates must know that the registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. If a candidate is not allotted a seat in the NEET counselling process but registers for admissions at DU, their fees will not be refunded.

  • No Changes After Submission: Once the candidates have successfully registered and made the payment, they will not be able to make any further changes, updates, or deletions on their application form. Candidates must carefully enter all the details and recheck twice before making the payment.

 

Candidates must know that the admission at the University of Delhi is strictly based on merit. This means that the top scorers are given priority during the allotment of seats. Candidates who are allotted seats in the NEET counselling 2025 process must register https://fmsc.du.ac.in/ after they have their original documents verified at the respective college.

There are a total of 659 MBBS seats across 3 medical colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi for DU MBBS and BDS medical college admissions 2025. Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) has the highest number of MBBS seats among the three, with 250 medical seats for DU MBBS and BDS medical college admissions 2025. This is followed by Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), with 240 and 169 seats, respectively. Maulana Azad Institute Of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) has 50 BDS seats.
