For Indian Students (INR)

 

Fees should be paid via two Demand Drafts from a Scheduled Commercial Bank:

 

  1. Demand Draft 1: Academic Fees and Institute Deposit of ₹10,50,000/- in favour of "Symbiosis Medical College for Women," payable at Pune.
  2. Demand Draft 2: Hostel and Mess Fees & Hostel Deposit of ₹2,27,500/- in favour of "Symbiosis Medical College for Women," payable at Pune.

 

For International/NRI Students (USD)

 

Fees should be paid via two Demand Drafts from a Scheduled Commercial Bank:

 

  1. Demand Draft 1: Academic Fees and Institute Deposit of $41,325 in favour of "Symbiosis Medical College for Women," payable at Pune.
  2. Demand Draft 2: Administrative Fees, Hostel and Mess Fees & Hostel Deposit of $3,790 in favour of "Symbiosis Medical College for Women," payable at Pune.

 

Additional Guidelines

 

  1. Increment in Fees: Academic fees will increase by 10% each subsequent year.
  2. Hostel and Mess Fees: These will be communicated before the commencement of each academic year.
  3. Examination Fees: University Examination / Supplementary Examination fees are not included in the academic fees and will be charged separately.
  4. Government Taxes: Any applicable government taxes will be additional.
  5. Uniforms and Sports Dress: Medical students must wear prescribed uniforms/sports dress on select days and ceremonial occasions. The students separate and bear the cost of uniforms/sports dress.

 

Payment Instructions

 

  1. First-Year Payment (2023-2024): The payment must be made through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Symbiosis Medical College for Women,' payable at Pune.
  2. Subsequent Years: Fees should be paid via Online NEFT/RTGS/SWIFT. The payment process will be communicated before the commencement of the next academic year.
  3. Refunds from MCC: The amount deposited with DGHS-MCC at registration will be refunded directly by the MCC authority to respective candidates.
  4. Fee Receipt: Symbiosis Medical College for Women/SIU accepts payment only towards admission, academic, and other notified fees. No Capitation Fee or Donation is charged.
  5. Banking Channels Only: All fees must be paid strictly through banking channels, not cash.
  6. Late Fees: Per university rules, late fees will be charged if payments are made after the due date.

 

Hostel Facilities

 

As a fully residential medical college, all candidates admitted to SMCW must stay in the hostel within the college campus. The facilities include:

 

  • Accommodation: Spacious rooms accommodating three students each, with attached toilet and WC facilities.
  • Room Amenities: Independent beds, tables, chairs, book racks, and cupboards.
  • Standard Rooms: On alternate floors, they are provided with a fridge, oven, induction plate, electric kettle, TV, electric iron, ironing table, RO, and water cooler.

 

Examination Fees

 

  • University Examination Fees: These are paid when a student appears for university examinations, including supplementary exams.
  • Repeater Fees: Applicable pro-rata for backlog courses in case of failure or detention.

  • Compulsory Uniform: Medical students must wear the prescribed uniform/sports dress on specific days, ceremonial occasions, and visits to other colleges. The cost is additional and borne by the students.

Scholarship Benefits

 

  1. Academic Fees: Waived for all years of the MBBS program.
  2. Hostel and Mess Fees: Not covered and must be borne by the students.
  3. Service Obligation: Awardees must serve SMCW-SUHRC as Junior Residents for one year after completing the MBBS program and Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI).

 

Conditions

 

  1. Academic Performance: Scholarship will be terminated if the student fails a university examination or does not maintain the required attendance.
  2. Service Bond: Awardees and their parents must execute a one-year compulsory Service Bond.
  3. Post-Graduation: If an awardee wishes to pursue post-graduation, they must obtain permission and deposit all academic fees as a security, refundable upon completion of the service.
