The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 results on its official website. The NEET SS 2025 results comprise a total of 15,583 qualified candidates, which is 45.10% of the total registered (34,551).





The NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 results were released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on its official website on January 23rd, 2026. Overview of NEET SS 2025 

The NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to Super Specialty medical courses in India. The NEET SS 2025 is mandatory for admissions to Doctor of Medicine (DM), Magister Chirurgiae (MCh), and DrNB Super Specialty for the academic year 2025-26. The NEET SS 2025 is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.

 

The NEET SS exam 2025 was conducted on December 26th and 27th, 2025, in two shifts each day from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The NEET SS exam 2025 was conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) in designated exam centers across India. The NEET SS exam 2025 consisted of a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). +4 marks were awarded for a correct answer and -1 was deducted for a wrong answer. No marks were awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

  • Total number of candidates who registered for NEET SS 2025 - 34,551
  • Total number of candidates who qualified the NEET SS 2025 exam - 15,583

A total of 34,551 candidates registered for the NEET SS 2025 exam. 45.10% of the total registered candidates, i.e., 15,583, qualified the NEET SS 2025 exam. 15,467 candidates had not qualified the NEET SS 2025 exam. 3,499 candidates were absent, and 2 of them were withheld from participating in the NEET SS 2025 exam.

4,878 candidates had qualified under the Medical group, the highest figure compared to other groups. The Surgical group closely followed, with 4,228 qualified candidates. The Critical Care Medicine Group and Paediatric Group had 1,410 and 1,344 qualified candidates, respectively. 

The qualifying cut off percentile was 50th percentile for all the 15 groups; however, the qualifying cut off scores varied for each group. The Medical group had the lowest NEET SS 2025 cut off score (225) due to which the group saw the highest number of qualified candidates. The Microbiology group had the highest NEET SS 2025 qualifying cut off score (389) primarily due to the intense competition for the limited availability of seats.

Additional Information on the NEET SS Exam 2025 Results

The official notice released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, New Delhi, consisted of vital information for candidates. Here are a few pointers mentioned in the official notice:

  • Question Paper Review by Faculty: All the questions in the NEET SS exam 2025 were reviewed by faculty from the concerned specialty areas. If there were any wrong questions, then marks were granted to all the candidates regardless of whether they attempted them or not.
  • Downloading of Individual Scorecards: Candidates will be able to download their individual scorecards on or after February 2nd, 2026, at NBEMS’s official website. The scorecard will be available for download for a period of 6 months.
  • Verification of Aggregate Marks: The aggregate marks entered by candidates on the application form will be verified against the original documents at the time of admission by the counselling or admitting authority. If there are any discrepancies noted at the time of verification, then the candidature will be cancelled.
  • Cancellation of Candidature: If at any stage in NEET SS 2025 it is found that candidates resorted to unfair means during the exam, then the candidature will be cancelled right away. Moreover, strict action will be taken as deemed appropriate by NBEMS/MCC/Counseling authority.
