As per the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019, and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, NEET PG 2025 serves as the sole entrance examination for postgraduate medical education in the country.

Qualifying NEET PG 2025 is compulsory for Indian medical graduates and foreign nationals intending to pursue postgraduate studies in India. About NEET PG 2025 and Its Conducting Body

NEET PG 2025 is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission to various postgraduate medical courses, including:

  • MD (Doctor of Medicine)

  • MS (Master of Surgery)

  • PG Diploma Courses

Additionally, NEET PG 2025 scores are used for admission into:

  • Post MBBS DNB Courses

  • Post MBBS Direct 6-year DrNB Courses

  • NBEMS Diploma Courses

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), established in 1975, is the designated authority for conducting the NEET PG 2025. However, it does not participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling or seat allotment. NBEMS only performs the exam, declares results, and hands the merit list to the designated Counselling authorities.

  • The NEET PG 2025 Application form can only be submitted online through https://natboard.edu.in.

  • Submission through any other mode will be rejected.

  • Only one application form per candidate is permitted. Multiple forms will lead to the cancellation of duplicate entries.

Eligibility Criteria

For Indian Medical Graduates


NEET PG 2025 Candidates must:


  • Hold an MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate recognized under the NMC Act, 2019

  • Possess permanent or provisional registration with the NMC or the State Medical Council.

  • Complete a one-year compulsory rotating internship by 31st July 2025

Note: Ineligible candidates or those completing an internship after the deadline will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

For Foreign Nationals


Foreign candidates must:

  • Possess a medical qualification equivalent to MBBS recognized by the NMC

  • Obtain security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

  • Be registered with the medical council in their country and possess a No Objection Certificate (NOC)

NMC may grant temporary registration during the course duration in India, but it is restricted to the admitting institution.

 

Scheme of NEET PG 2025 Exam Application Form

  • NEET PG 2025 Exam Date: 15th June 2025

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Shifts: Two (Morning and Afternoon)

  • Language: English

  • Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Admit Card & Exam Day Guidelines

  • Admit Card Release Date: 11th June 2025

  • Available only on the official NBEMS website

  • Not sent via post or email

Important Instructions:

  • Candidates must report at the reporting counter at the time mentioned on their admit card.

  • Entry will be denied if reporting is delayed.

  • NBEMS is not responsible for delays for any reason, including traffic or miscommunication.

 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Is NEET PG 2025 the only entrance test for MD/MS and PG Diploma courses?
Yes. As per the NMC Act, no other entrance test is valid for these courses in India.

Q2. Can I submit my application form offline or via email?
No. Applications must be submitted only online through the NBEMS website.

Q3. Will NBEMS conduct Counselling for seat allotment?
No. NBEMS only conducts the exam and declares the results. Other designated authorities manage Counselling.

Q4. What if I complete my internship after 31st July 2025?
