The University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, has released a notice for online uploading and verification of documents through KEA for UG candidates claiming seats under the Agriculturist quota in the Farm Universities of Karnataka. The agricultural practical examination scheduled for April 29th, 2026, has been postponed to May 10th, 2026.

The University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore (UAS Bangalore), established in 1964, is a a premier public agricultural institution in India. It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD programs in agriculture, food, and nutrition. The institute’s research is primarily focused on precision agriculture, water management, climate-resilient technologies, and crop improvement.

 

UAS is ranked among the top 7 agricultural universities in India and received the prestigious Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award twice, in 2001 and 2012. Candidates must clear the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. The agricultural practical examination scheduled for April 29th, 2026, has been postponed to May 10th, 2026.

 

KEA Agriculturist Quota Seats Document Upload and Verification

The notice for online uploading and verification of documents for candidates under the Agricultarist quota for UG admissions in the Farm Universities of Karnataka was released on KEA’s official website by UAS Bangalore on April 27th, 2026. The official notice consists of the list of documents to be uploaded for verification, processing fee details, and the schedule for the online document verification process. Documents to be Uploaded for Online Verification

Here is a list of documents to be uploaded and details to be entered online:

 

  • For Agriculturist/Labour in Agriculture and allied sectors, the Agriculture Quota certificate RD number should be entered

  • Family Tree (Vamshavruksha): In case of an undivided family, the Agriculture Quota Certificate RD number should be entered

  • Affidavit-I: Along with the income certificate, the candidate/parent should declare that agriculture is their only source of income. (The first party will be the candidate, and the second party will be the respective university under which the candidate’s practical exam centre falls.)

  • Salary Certificate: To be submitted if the candidate/parent belongs to the salaried class

  • Income Details from Business: A certificate should be submitted if associated with any business

  • Affidavit-II: Along with the income certificate, the candidate/parent should declare all sources of income (including agriculture, salary, business, pension, etc.). Agriculture should be the main source of income. (The first party will be the candidate, and the second party will be the respective university under which the candidate’s practical exam centre falls.)


Note: Income mentioned in the income certificate and that declared in the affidavit should be the same. The caste and income certificates, which are valid for five years, must be reprinted within the valid period: April 2025 to March 2026. The affidavit amount is Rs. 100/-.

 

Processing Fees for Uploading the Documents

Candidates must pay the processing fee when uploading documents online for verification. If the processing fees are not paid while uploading the documents, then the application will fail. The processing fees for uploading documents online differ between General & others and SC/ST and Cat-I categories. The processing fees for the General and others categories are Rs. 1,200/-, and for SC/ST and Cat-I categories, Rs. 600/-.

The online uploading of documents through KEA for UG candidates claiming seats under the Agriculturist quota in the Farm Universities of Karnataka commenced on April 27th, 2026. The deadline for uploading documents is up to 12:00 p.m. on May 4th, 2026. The online verification of document will be done till May 5th, 2026, up to 4:00 p.m. The list containing both eligible and non-eligible candidates will be published on May 7th, 2026. Candidates can download their hall tickets from May 8th, 2026 to May 10th, 2026 (Before 7:00 a.m.). The Agricultural practical test will be conducted on May 10th, 2026. The results of the agricultural practical test will be released on May 14th, 2026, after 11 a.m.
