The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, has released a notification on the official website inviting applications for admission to medical colleges across the state. The deadline to submit the applications for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 is March 10th, 2025, until 5:00 p.m.




 

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, released the application notification on the official website on February 20th, 2025. KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates seeking admission to medical and medical allied courses must appear and qualify in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This article informs candidates about the courses offered for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025, the mode of application, eligibility criteria for admission, required documents, and other vital information.

 

 

Courses Offered for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025

 

There are 6 medical courses for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025. Here is a list of the medical courses for NEET UG 2025.

 

 

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
  • Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) (Homoeo)
  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) (Ayurveda)
  • Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS) (Siddha)
  • Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) (Unani)

Eligibility Criteria for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 Admission

 

Candidates must know the eligibility criteria before applying for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025. This will avoid time wastage and confusion during the further stages of NEET UG counselling and admission. Here are the eligibility criteria for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025.

 

 

  • Age Criteria

 

KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates must be 17 years of age by December 31st, 2025.

 

 

  •       Nativity Criteria

 

KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates must be citizens of India for admission to the medical courses. Candidates who have the Overseas Citizen of India Card are also eligible for Kerala NEET UG 2025; however, they will not be eligible for any reservations. 

 

Indian candidates seeking admission to medical courses will be categorized into Keralite, non-Keralite category I (NK I), and non-Keralite category II (NKII).

 

Keralite Category

 

 

KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates must be citizens of Kerala (local) to apply under the ‘Keralite Category’. These candidates are eligible for Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities reservation and fee concessions. Non-Keralite children of All India Service (AIS) officers can apply under the ‘Keralite’ category; however, they will not be eligible for Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities reservation and fee concessions.

 

Non-Keralite Category I

 

 

KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates who do not belong to the Kerala Domicile but have undergone a qualifying course in Kerala and have their parents in the Government of India/ Defence Service posted to Kerala can apply under the Non-Keralite Category I.

Candidates who are not of Kerala origin but have their school studies in Kerala from standard VIII to XII can apply under the Non-Keralite Category I. Those who have stayed in Kerala for a period of 5 years during their 12 years of study can apply under the Non-Keralite Category I.

 

Non-Keralite Category II 

 

 

KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025 candidates who do not come under ‘Keralite’ and ‘Non-Keralite Category I’ come under Non-Keralite Category II. These candidates are eligible for admission under Government and Management Quota seats.

 

 

  •  Academic Qualifications

 

Candidates who have passed the +2 exam, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, are eligible for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025.

 

Relaxation of Marks: The counselling authority has set the relaxation of marks for candidates under the SC/ST or SEBC or Persons with Disability categories. The candidates under these categories must obtain 40% in the subjects to qualify for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025.

Mode of Application for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025

 

Candidates seeking admission to NEET UG 2025 and meeting the eligibility criteria on the prospectus must fill out the Application Form by visiting the official website. The online filling of the application form commenced on February 20th, 2025, and will end at 5:00 p.m. on March 10th, 2025. Candidates must enter the correct phone number and email ID on the application form. The official communication from the counselling authority will be sent via email and SMS (to that which is entered on the Application Form).

 

Candidates must upload all the required documents, including academic and other eligibility certificates, by March 15th, 2025. Candidates must submit only one application each for all the courses. Filling out the Application Form and paying the fees occur online. Candidates must not send the application form or any documents to the Office of Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. Incomplete application forms will be rejected.

Required Documents for KEAM Kerala NEET UG 2025

 

The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 4th, 2025. Candidates wishing to participate in NEET UG 2025 must have all the following documents ready in advance. This will help them avoid last-minute hassles.

 

 

  • Latest passport size photograph
  • Postcard size photograph
  • Left and right-hand fingers and thumb impression
  • Signature
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Class 10 or equivalent Pass Certificate
  • Class 10 or equivalent Mark Sheet
  • Class 10 or equivalent CGPA to percentage Conversion Certificate
  • Identity Proof (for those candidates who will verify their identities through methods other than Aadhaar or Digilocker)
  • Address Proof (Present and Permanent)
  • Person With Benchmark Disability (PwBD) Certificate (if applicable)
  • Citizenship certificate (applicable for NRI/OCI/Foreign citizen candidates)

 

 

Note: Candidates must also keep two sets of photocopies to fulfill any requirements during the NEET UG 2025 counselling and admission processes.
