Kerala Medical Colleges Seat Distribution & Fee Structures

Learn about the MBBS seat distribution in Kerala Medical Colleges by College-type, Counselling, and Categories.
The 32 Kerala Medical colleges offer 4505 MBBS seats, which ranks it 10th among all states in India.
Of these, 12 are government colleges with 1755 seats, while the remaining 19 are private and offer 2600 seats. With 26 dental institutes, Kerala also has 1920 BDS seats. Candidates must complete CEE’s KEAM Kerala Counselling application form-filling process to be eligible for counselling rounds.
CEE’s Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical (KEAM) is responsible for conducting counselling for the state quota seats in Kerala Medical colleges. In India, there are currently 703 medical colleges that offer 1,08,958 MBBS and 29,088 BDS seats.

12 government Kerala medical colleges offer admission to undergraduate medical courses. As of 2024, these colleges had 1755 seats. Government Medical College in Kozhikode and GMC in Thiruvananthapuram have the highest number of seats, 250 each.
A look at the reservations for different categories and quotas gives a clearer idea of government seat distribution in Kerala medical colleges. These include reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, and physically disabled candidates. Additionally, there are quotas for students from outside Kerala, children of defense personnel, and sports quota candidates.
