KNRUHS Telangana NEET Counselling 2025 Employment Eligibility Certificate

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has released 2 notifications for competent authority and management quotas regarding the submission of certificate of employment by parents who worked outside the state. The window to have the employment certificate and other required documents verified and claim the eligibility for KNRUHS Telangana NEET counselling 2025 state quota opened at 10:00 a.m. on 9th September, 2025 and is scheduled to close at 5:00 p.m. on 11th September, 2025.
The notices regarding the submission of the employment certificate to claim the eligibility for KNRUHS Telangana NEET counselling 2025 state quota by parents who worked outside the state were released on the official website on 8th September, 2025. Candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admissions under the management and competent authority quotas must visit the official website to read the certificate of employment submission notifications. The Supreme Court of India had recently approved the Telangana government’s appeal regarding the admission of candidates who studied in the state from 9th to 12th standard (4 years before 12th) to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota.
The Telangana High Court had earlier ordered the state government to change the candidate MBBS and BDS admission eligibility rules. According to the state’s High Court, candidates with roots in Telangana and have studied outside due to their parents’ work were eligible for MBBS and BDS admissions under the state quota. However, the Supreme Court revoked this order following the appeal submitted by Telangana government, which required candidates to study for 4 years before 12th standard in the state to be eligible for MBBS and BDS admissions under the state quota.

Following the Supreme Court Judgement, two notifications were released on 8th September, 2025, on KNRUHS’ official website regarding the admission of candidates to MBBS and BDS courses under the CQ and MQ quotas. Though the Supreme Court overruled the Telangana High Court’s judgement, which favored the admission of candidates (with roots in the state and studied in any part of India) to MBBS and BDS courses, certain exceptions were made. Here are the exceptions as mentioned on KNRUHS’s official notice for candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admissions under both MQ and CQ quotas:
Candidates who studied outside Telangana for 4 years before 12th standard will be eligible for MBBS and BDS admissions under the state quota (MQ and CQ), if they are:
Candidates who studied in schools across India (outside Telangana) under these conditions are eligible for MBBS and BDS admissions under the state quota. They must, however, visit KNRUHS, Telangana, Warangal, in person between 10:00 a.m. on 9th September, 2025 and 5:00 p.m. on 11th September, 2025 with the required documents.

The eligible candidates wishing to apply under MQ and CQ quotas for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Telangana must appear physically at KNRUHS and have these documents verified by 5:00 p.m. on 11th September, 2025.
