The Medical Counselling Committee has posted the Seat Resignation Window Extension dates for round 1 and 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling. The Seat Resignation Window Extension dates are from December 17th, 2024 to 06:00 p.m. on December 26th, 2024.



 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which manages admission and e-counselling services, posted the Seat Resignation Window Extension dates for allotted seats on December 17th, 2024. Candidates who wish to resign their allotted seats in round 1 and 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling may do so within the Seat Resignation Window Extension dates. Round 1 and 2 Seat Resignation Window Extension for MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling

 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) posted a notice regarding resignation of seats from round 1 and 2 after receiving multiple requests from NEET PG candidates. These were candidates who were not satisfied with their allotted seats and could not resign from their seats within the stipulated timelines. The counselling authority has decided to allow these candidates to proceed with the resignation. The seat resignation window, which opened on December 17th, 2024, is live. MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling candidates wishing to resign from their allotted seats in round 1 and 2 may do so by visiting the respective colleges within the Seat Resignation Window Extension dates. The resignation window will close at 06:00 p.m. on December 26th, 2024.

Instructions for Candidates Resigning from Round 1 and 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling

 

Here are a few instructions for candidates resigning their allotted seats in round 1 and 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling.

 

  • For Freshly Allotted Candidates: Candidates who were freshly allotted seats in round 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling and joined the allotted seat can resign the seat within the stipulated time. However, their security deposit will be forfeited.

  • For Upgraded Candidates: Candidates who upgraded their seats successfully in round 2 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling and joined the allotted seat can vacate the seat. Enacting this step will lead to the forfeiture of their security deposit.

  • Physical Presence for Resignation: MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling candidates are advised to be physically present at their allotted colleges for resignation within the Seat Resignation Window Extension dates. No representations of candidates will be accepted.

  • Online Resignation Letter: MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling candidates must ensure that their resignation letter is generated online (through the portal provided by MCC) by the allotted college. Resignation by any other means will not be accepted and be treated as ‘Null & Void’.  

 

Once a seat is vacated successfully, a candidate will have no claim over it. The vacated seats will not be available for these candidates in the mop-up round of counselling, avoiding any confusions or hassles while choice filling. The vacated seats will be made available for other candidates on the merit list, giving them additional opportunities.

Next Steps in the MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling Process

 

MCC received multiple requests for resignation of seats from round 1 and 2, necessitating it to publish this notice. Here are the next steps in the MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling process.

 

  • Registrations for Round 3: The registration for round 3 of MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling is set to commence on 26th December, 2024. The registration window will close at 12:00 p.m. on January 1st, 2025. MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling candidates who register within the stipulated time will have the option to pay the registration fees until 03:00 p.m. on January 1st, 2025.

  • Choice Filling and Locking: Following registration and payment, candidates will be given 6 days to choice fill and lock their colleges and courses. The timeline for choice filling is from December 27th, 2024 up to 11:55 p.m. on January 1st, 2025. The choice locking window will open at 04:00 p.m. on January 1st, 2025 and the window will close at 11:55 p.m. on January 1st, 2025.

  • Processing and Publishing of Seat Allotment Results: The counselling authority will process the seat allotments on January 2nd and 3rd, 2025. The seats are allotted based on candidates’ NEET PG percentiles, cut-off scores, categories, and online option entries. The results of the seat allotments will be posted on the official website on January 4th, 2025.

  • Reporting to College: Candidates must report to their allotted colleges after downloading the allotment letter. They must carry the required documents and the tuition fees. The college will verify the candidates’ certificates for their originality. Any discrepancies noted in the documents during verification will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat. The colleges will confirm candidates’ eligibility of the allotted seat after successful verification. Once they pay the required fees, they can confirm their allotted seat. The college reporting process will commence on January 6th, 2025 and end on January 13th, 2025.
