While some students sitting in the same exam centers got natural lighting, multiple candidates were at a disadvantage as they sat at places with insufficient lighting. • Court Proceedings: The legal team representing the petitioners stated that if the petition is not addressed, candidates would suffer extreme prejudice. Additionally, the entire year’s hard work for the preparation of the NEET exam would be wasted, without any fault on the petitioner’s part. In support of the appeal, the counsel also mentioned Dainik Bhaskar, a daily newspaper, which published a detailed news regarding the outage of power due to the unforeseen weather conditions.
  
  The exam center scene was recreated in the court, with all the windows being closed. It was noted that the lighting conditions were very poor. Such conditions in an actual exam hall might have put candidates in a disadvantageous position.
