NEET 2026 Marks vs Rank: Complete AIR Analysis & Qualified Candidates
The re NEET UG 2026 results was released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website on 16th July, 2026. Out of the 20 lakh candidates who participated in the re NEET UG 2026 exam, 11,21,185 candidates qualified the exam. The UR/EWS category witnessed the largest drop in qualified candidates. In 2025, 11,01,151 candidates from this category qualified, whereas 9,96,935 candidates qualified in 2026, showing a decrease of 1,04,216 candidates. The qualifying cut-off also increased from 686–144 in 2025 to 715–213 in 2026.
In the OBC category, the number of qualified candidates reduced from 88,692 in 2025 to 81,111 in 2026, a decline of 7,581 candidates. Similarly, the SC category saw the number of qualified candidates decrease from 31,995 to 29,947, while the ST category recorded a reduction from 13,940 to 12,452 qualified candidates.
Overall, the category-wise qualified candidates data indicates that fewer candidates have qualified for NEET 2026 across most categories. The higher qualifying cut-offs and the reduction in qualified candidates are expected to ease the competition a bit compared to NEET UG 2025.
