NEET PG 2024 Exam on August 11: Admit Card Download, Exam Pattern & Dates

 

Originally planned to be conducted on June 23rd, the NEET PG 2024 exam is rescheduled for August 11 across two shifts. The first exam shift for NEET PG 2024 will be from 9:00 to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon slot will be from 3:30 to 7:00 PM. NEET PG is one of India's postgraduate medical entrance exams presently conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

Completing these postgraduate and postdoctoral medical courses leads to the awarding a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and a Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), respectively. The NBEMS announcement, made through a notice by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on June 22, impacted nearly 2,27,800 NEET PG aspirants in 2024.

The eligibility cut-off date for the NEET PG 2024 exam stays the same: August 15. Impersonation threats and paper leak concerns led to the decision, effectively pushing NEET PG counselling 2024. In 2023, the NEET PG exam saw a staggering 2,08,898 applicants, with only 19.1% securing seats.

NEET PG Exam Admit Card Release on August 8

After the NBEMS released the City Intimation slip for the NEET PG 2024 exam on July 31st, NBEMS released the Admit Card on its official website for the NEET PG 2024 Exam, which will be held on 11 August 2024 in two shifts. Steps to download the NEET PG 2024 Admit Card

1. Visit the Official NBE Website: https://nbe.edu.in
2. Hover over to and click on “NEET PG 2024”
3. Insert your Application ID and Password to Login
4. Click to Download your NEET PG 2024 Admit Card
5. Verify your details before printing a copy

The NEET PG 2024 Admit Card mainly consists of the candidates' personal details such as name, date of birth, and category. Students can also verify the NEET PG 2024 Exam Date, Time, and Duration. The admit card also consists of the exam centre’s name and address.

NEET PG 2024 Application Form

The Registration form filling process for NEET PG 2024 began on 16 April 2024. Following the official notification of registration, the deadline to register for the NEET PG 2024 exam was May 6. NBEMS enabled an application edit window for all the successful applications from May 10 to May 16. The final NEET PG 2024 application edit window was from June 7 to June 10.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Application Correction Window

As stated earlier, the Application Correction window for NEET PG 2024 was live from May 10 to May 16. Candidates could use their official IDs & password to correct and change the following NEET PG 2024 Application particulars:

1. Applicant Name Changes
2. Date of Birth
3. Candidate Email ID
4. City preference to write NEET PG 2024 Exam
5. Candidate Nationality

NEET PG 2024 Application Fee

An important point worth noting was to pay the fee in a timely manner for the NEET PG 2024 application form. The application fee ranged from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3500, depending on the candidate’s category. 

 

Syllabus for NEET PG 2024 Exam on August 11

The Medical Council of India outlines the syllabus for NEET PG 2024 in the Graduate Medical Education Regulations. NEET PG syllabus generally includes subjects covered in MBBS/BDS courses. They can be further divided into Pre-Clinical, Clinical, and Para-Clinical subjects. The table below details the same:

Candidates must fulfill certain education, nationality, and qualification criteria to be eligible for the NEET PG 2024 Exam.

Foreign Nationals should be registered with NMC or the Medical Council of India when appearing for the NEET PG 2024 Exam. Candidates must have completed the Mandatory Internship of 1-year duration by August 2024.  Medical degree holders from foreign medical institutions must pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).

Exam Pattern for NEET PG 2024 

NEET PG 2024 will be conducted online on August 11 across 376 exam centres in 185 cities. The exam will be conducted in English only. 200 Questions will be asked in the NEET PG 2024 exam, following a +4, -1 marking scheme. This makes the maximum attainable marks for NEET PG 800.

Time Bound Section During NEET PG 2024 Exam

NBEMS is the authority tasked with finalizing the Exam Pattern for NEET PG, MDS, NEET SS, FMGE, DNB, PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, and FET. The National Board of Examinations announced that the NEET PG 2024 exam would follow a time-bound section. This will require examinees to complete the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) within specified time limits. The NEET PG 2024 exam will have 5 sections, from A to E. Each section will consist of 40 questions, and the time limit will be 42 minutes.

NEET PG 2024 Admit Card

The earlier stipulated date for the NEET PG 2024 admit card was June 18. However, with the exam postponed to August 11, the admit card is supposed to be released on August 8th, 2024.
