NEET UG 2024 Re-examination: Provisional Answer Key and OMR Challenge

 

 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently conducted a re-examination of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET UG 2024 on 23 June 2024. This particular examination was arranged for 1563 candidates who faced time loss during the initially scheduled test on 05 May 2024. 

 

To ensure fairness following the recommendation of the High-Powered Committee, these candidates were awarded compensatory marks to ensure fairness in the evaluation process.

 

Provisional Answer Key and OMR Response Display

 

In adherence to their commitment to transparency and fairness, NTA has promptly released the Provisional Answer Keys, Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheets, and Recorded Responses of the affected candidates. These documents are now available for viewing and challenge on the official NEET UG 2024 website.

 

Candidates can review their OMR Answer Sheets, which have also been sent to their registered email addresses provided during the application process. This step ensures that candidates can verify the accuracy of their recorded responses.

 

Important Dates and Payment Methods

 

All challenges and representations must be submitted online through the designated portal by 29 June 2024, up to 11:00 PM IST. Processing fees can be paid using a Debit or Credit Card, Net Banking, or Paytm. It is crucial to note that challenges submitted without the accompanying processing fee will not be considered.

 

 

Challenging the Provisional NEET UG Answer Key

 

To maintain the integrity of the examination process, candidates are invited to challenge the Provisional Answer Key. Each challenge requires a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per answer challenged. The challenge period is limited, and details of the challenge process are provided in Annexure 1.

 

Additionally, candidates can dispute the grading of their OMR responses by submitting representations, requiring a ₹200 processing fee per question challenged. This process is outlined in Annexure 2.

 

Verification and Finalization of NEET UG Answer Key

 

A panel of subject experts will meticulously review candidates' challenges. Corrections to the answer key will be applied universally to all candidates if necessary and correct. The Final Answer Key will be published after that, and based on this key, the results of NEET UG 2024 will be prepared and declared, ensuring the utmost accuracy and fairness.

 

Candidates should understand that individual feedback on accepting or rejecting their challenges will not be provided. The Final Answer Key, approved by the expert panel, will be conclusive and final.
