  • Minimum Age: Candidates looking to participate in the NEET UG 2025 exam must be 17 years of age by December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit, as per a Supreme Court directive.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have cleared their class 12 exams. They must have secured 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) to qualify for the NEET UG 2025 exam. The qualifying aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 40%.

  • Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals are eligible for the NEET UG 2025 exam.

 

There is no limit to the number of attempts for the NEET UG 2025 exam. However, other eligibility criteria for NEET UG exam must be met.

Updation of Aadhar and APAAR ID Details for NEET UG Exam 2025

 

The notice regarding the updation of details on the Aadhar card was posted by the NTA on January 14th, 2025. The notice aims to notify candidates of the required action before filling out the NEET UG Application form. As per the notice, the Ministry of Education declared that candidates must ensure to integrate their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID) with Aadhaar for NEET UG 2025. NTA has also urged candidates to use the Aadhar and APAAR ID during the application form filling and examination process.

 

  • Aadhaar Update: Candidates are advised to update their Aadhaar card details, including name and date of birth, as per their 10th marksheet. They must also update their latest facial recognition data.

  • Link Aadhaar to Mobile: Candidates must link their Aadhar and APAAR ID with a valid mobile number for OTP verification.

  • Integration of the APAAR ID with Aadhaar: Candidates must link their Aadhar and APAAR ID. They can do this by visiting the nearest Aadhaar update/ enrollment center.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern

 

The exam pattern for the NEET UG exam 2025 is expected to remain the same as the previous years. Candidates must visit the respective exam venues for the NEET UG exam, which will be conducted offline (pen and paper-based). The NEET UG 2025 will cover four subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject will have 50 questions, out of which 45 must be attempted. Each subject will be divided into Part A (35 questions) and Part B (15 questions). Candidates can choose to attempt any 10 out of the 15 questions in part B.

 

The total marks in the NEET UG 2025 exam will be 720. +4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer in the NEET UG 2025 exam, whereas -1 will be deducted for a wrong answer. The duration of the NEET UG 2025 exam will be 3 hours and 20 minutes.
