India’s medical entrance system is set for a major shift, as the Centre has confirmed that the NEET exam in a Computer-Based test format will be introduced from 2027. The announcement follows the NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy, cancellation of the earlier test, and the decision to conduct Re-NEET 2026 for affected candidates. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed that the NEET exam will be conducted in a computer-based test format to improve exam security and transparency.
