The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the NEET 2026 scribe registration portal on its official website. Overview of the Re NEET 2026 Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA), the body responsible for conducting NEET, cancelled the original exam conducted on May 3rd, 2026, due to paper leaks. In order to ensure fairness for all the NEET aspirants, the NTA announced the re NEET 2026 exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 21st, 2026. 

 

The re NEET 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. It will be conducted offline (pen-and-paper mode). The re NEET 2026 exam will be conducted from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m (3 hours 15 minutes). Candidates can obtain a maximum of 720 marks from 180 questions in the re NEET 2026 exam. Of the 180 questions, 45 will be from Physics, 45 from Chemistry, and 90 from Biology. As for the marking system, +4 marks will be awarded for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer. No marks will be added or reduced for unattempted questions.

NEET 2026 Scribe Registration

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the NEET 2026 scribe registration portal on June 9th, 2026, providing opportunities for all the PwD/PwBD candidates to apply for a scribe. The deadline to complete the NEET 2026 scribe registration is 11:50 p.m. on June 12th, 2026. PwD/PwBD candidates looking to use scribes must ensure to apply and enter scribe details within the deadline. Once the deadline is over, candidates will not be able to complete the NEET 2026 scribe registration.

 

All the eligible candidates can visit the official NEET 2026 scribe registration portal link to apply for a scribe. A scribe is a person provided by the exam authorities or brought by the candidate to physically write the exam answers on the candidate's behalf, based on the candidate's verbal instructions. The scribes brought by candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the NTA.

• Complete the NEET 2026 Scribe Registration: The scribe option will be visible in the portal only to candidates eligible for a scribe. Candidates must click on the scribe option and enter scribe details. After entering all the required details, candidates must click on the submit option. Once the details are submitted, they will be reflected in the 'View Application Form' link on the left-hand side of the candidate home page and on the confirmation page.
