NTRUHS Extends the Phase 1 Seat Allotment for NEET MDS 2024 Admissions

NTRUHS extends the Phase 1 seat allotment deadline for NEET MDS 2024 admissions. Students now have until 3:00 PM on August 8, 2024, to join their allotted seats in PG (Dental) courses. This applies to both the Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota in Government and Private Non-Minority Dental Colleges. The final freeze of candidate data will occur by 4:00 PM on the same day.

The process of NEET MDS 2024 admissions in dental colleges is a critical phase for aspiring dentists aiming to further their education and careers. The NEET MDS 2024 Admissions has been a cornerstone for many students, providing them with an opportunity to secure seats in reputable institutions. In light of the recent developments, there has been an important announcement regarding the extension of joining time for PG (Dental) courses.
MCC reopened the resignation window for Round 1 seat allotment for candidates whose seats were not upgraded in Round 2. This window was open from 1 PM on August 1, 2024, until 6 PM on August 3, 2024. After this period, they will be considered part of Round 2, and any resignation will result in the forfeiture of their security deposit. Therefore, any resignation after 6 PM on August 3, 2024, will be treated as an 'Exit with Forfeiture' of fees.
In a recent notification which was released on 06.08.2024, the authorities have extended the last date for joining the allotted seats for PG (Dental) courses for the academic year 2024-25. This extension applies to both the Competent Authority Quota and the Management Quota in Government and Private Non-Minority Dental Colleges. The new deadline for students to join their allotted seats is now 3:00 PM on August 8, 2024, and shall freeze the data of Not Reported/Reported candidates by 04.00 PM on 08.08.2024 without fail.

This decision comes as a relief for many students who were under the pressure of meeting the initial deadline. The extension allows them more time to complete their joining formalities and ensures that no deserving candidate misses out on their chance due to time constraints.
a) Main counseling Registration which will include payment of a Non-refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made).
b) Exercising of Choice filling and locking of choices.
c) Process of Seat Allotment Round 1
d) Publication of result of Round 1 on the MCC website, mandatory uploading of essential documents on the MCC website for seat allotted candidates.
e) Physical Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College with original documents against Round 1.
f) Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 can opt for free exit and can directly participate in Round 2.
g) Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 can opt for willingness to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 only after physical reporting at the college/institute.
h) If a registered candidate is not allotted a seat in Round 1, he can participate in Round 2 directly without fresh registration.
i) Candidates willing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with the original documents of Round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade then he/she has to give willingness for upgradation in the college.
Note: MCC of DGHS will share the data of joined candidates in round 1, round 2, and round 3 of counselling with all the participating States.
Required Documents for NEET MDS 2024 Admissions
Original documents required for NEET MDS 2024 Admissions in allotted Medical/Dental College are as mentioned below:
Candidates must resign from their seats both online and by visiting the institutes they were allotted. For the online resignation process, candidates should follow these steps:
1. Go to the official NEET MDS 2024 counselling website at mcc.nic.in/mds-counselling.
2. Click on the New Registration link under the Candidate Activity section.
3. Enter your registration credentials and sign in.
4. Click on the Seat Resignation link.
5. Confirm and resign from the seat.
6. Click on save.
7. Download and keep the seat resignation confirmation page until the final state quota admissions are completed.
MCC advises candidates to ensure their Resignation Letter is generated online through the MCC portal by the allotted college. If this is not done, the resignation will be considered 'Null & Void,' and the candidate will still be seen as occupying the seat, subject to Round 2 rules. Any letter that is not generated through the online portal will not be accepted as a Resignation Letter.
