Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 Vacant Medical Seat Matrix

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, conducts the  Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2024 process annually for admission to dental and medical courses within the state. The Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 second round registration started from 11th September at 10:00 AM to 13th September at 5:00 PM. Candidates can fill and lock their choices from the 14th to the 16th of September.


Seat allotment is processed on 17th September, with the Round 2 Seat Matrix provisional result on 18th and the final result on 19th September. Provisional allotment orders can be downloaded from 19th to 26th September, and the last date to join is 26th September. 

 

 

The Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2024 process is conducted online for Government and Private Medical Institutes in Tamil Nadu. The seats are allocated considering the state quota of 85 and 100 percent for Government and private colleges respectively.

 

As per the tentative seat vacancy position, a total of 2045 seats are vacant, of these, 1101 are vacant in MBBS courses and 919 seats are vacant in BDS courses in 92.5% reservation, 23 seats are vacant in BDS courses in 7.5% reservation and 2 seats are vacant in MBBS courses in PwD category.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 Eligibility Criteria

 

The authority determines the basic criteria for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 admission to MBBS. 

 

• Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

 

• Domicile Candidate: The candidate must be a bona fide resident of TN.

 

• Candidates who have completed their class 6 to 12 education from the state are not required to submit the nativity certificate. However, they have to submit their parent’s birth certificate ration card, SSLC/10/12 certificate, or no graduate certificate if their parents are illiterate.

 

• Applications from other states living in Tamil Nadu are not considered domicile and must be admitted in the open category.

 

• Domiciles of Tamil Nadu who have completed their partial education from class 6 to 12 in another state must submit the important documents of their parents as mentioned above. A permanent residence certificate will not be accepted as an alternative to the nativity certificate.

 

• Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years old. The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years for the general category and 30 years for SC ST and OBC.

 

• Education: The candidate must have completed class 12th in the required subjects(PCB) with biotechnology and English as the main subjects from the state.

 

• The unreserved category must have at least 50% in PCB, while SC ST and OBC students must obtain 40% in the required subjects.
