KNRUHS Telangana NEET UG counselling and MBBS Colleges

KNRUHS University conducts NEET UG counselling in Telangana. Counselling 85% of state seats will be by KNRUHS while MCC will conduct seat allotment for 15% of MBBS seats.

 

Dr. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, conducts NEET UG counselling in the state. Telangana NEET UG counselling is a state-centralized online process. 

 

A candidate can apply to MBBS & BDS courses in various Government/Private Medical colleges. The Telangana NEET UG Counselling procedure will be based on one’s NEET Scorecard and managed by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Telangana.

 

Telangana ranks 4th in India in number of medical colleges, at 56. These institutes account for a total of 8440 seats across the state. The 28 Government colleges offer 3890 seats, while the 28 Private colleges account for 4550 seats.

Telangana NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Criteria

 

 

 

Candidates must read the eligibility criteria before applying for Telangana NEET UG Counselling. The table below shows the qualification and eligibility criteria for the NEET entrance exam.

  Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology, and English. 
  • OC candidates, including candidates seeking EWS reservation, should obtain 50% marks in science subjects.
  • BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain at least 40% marks in science subjects. 
  • OC PWD candidates should obtain at least 45% marks in science subjects.

        Age

  • Candidate should complete 17 years of age as of 31-12-2024. 
  • Candidates who do not complete 17 years as of 31-12-2024 are not eligible for admission. 
  • Candidates born on or after 02-01-2005 are not eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses for 2024-25.

Telangana NEET UG Counselling Process

 

 

As per the NMC and DCI, there are a total number of 56 Medical colleges and 14 Dental colleges in Telangana. Candidates seeking admission to the State Quota seats must go through the Telangana NEET UG counselling process.

 

 

KNRUHS conducts Telangana NEET UG counselling at the state level for admission to 85% of State Quota seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in private colleges.

 

 

Aspirants can go through the detailed Telangana NEET UG Counselling and choice-filling procedure below.

 

Telangana NEET UG Counselling Process for Competent Quota

 

Step 1: Registration

 

The first step for NEET UG counselling procedure is registration. Candidates are required to sign up on the KNRUHS portal by entering all the necessary information, including their NEET UG 2024 roll number, AIR, registered number, and email ID. They also need to make a payment for the registration fee.

 

 

Step 2: Application filling & Documents upload


After completing the registration and payment process for Telangana NEET UG counselling, applicants must fill out an application with their details and upload all the original scanned documents.

 

Note: Admission will be revoked by the universities if it is discovered that a candidate has provided false information, withheld any relevant eligibility information, or submitted forged or fake certificates or documents.

 

Step 3: Login


Once the candidate has filled out the application form, they will receive the registration number from Dr. KNRUHS via email or SMS. Candidates should then log in using their registration number, AIR, and password to access the choice-filling option.

 

Step 4: Choice Filling


Round 1

  • Candidates need to do choice filling for admission to the desired college.
  • Candidates can participate in Round 2 of Telangana NEET UG counselling if the seats are not allotted.
  • Candidates must report to the college with the original documents and complete fee payment if the seats are allotted.

 

Round 2

  • Candidates are allowed to participate in choice-filling for Round 2 Telangana NEET UG counselling.
  • Candidates can participate in the mop-up round if the seats are not allotted.
  • Candidates must report to the allotted medical college with the original documents and the fee payment if the seats are allotted.

 

Note: Candidates should choice-filling carefully, it can’t be re-edited.

Telangana NEET UG Counselling Process for Management Quota

 

The candidate has to fill out the choice-filling form for the interested medical colleges in order of priority. Candidates are allowed to do choice filling freshly in each round. Candidates are instructed to be careful while choice-filling on the web. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and mail at the time of choice filling.

 

NOTE: Candidates are requested to take a printout of the choice-filling options, which will be uploaded for reference.

 

 

Round 1

  • Candidates need to do choice-filling for admission to the desired college.
  • Candidates can participate in Telangana NEET UG Counselling Round 2 counselling if the seats are not allotted.
  • Candidates must report to the college with the original documents and complete fee payment if the seats are allotted.
  • Candidates joining under the management quota are also eligible for the second phase of NEET UG counselling.

 

Note: Candidates need to exercise choice filling in the 1st phase of NEET UG counselling to be eligible to exercise choice filling in the subsequent phase of NEET UG counselling.

 

 

Round 2

  • Candidates are allowed to participate in choice-filling for Round 2 NEET UG counselling.
  • Candidates can join in the mop-up round if the seats are not allotted.
  • If the seats are allotted, candidates must report to the allotted college with the original documents and the fee payment via Demand Draft/ RTGS/ NEFT.

 

NOTE: The candidate who joined in the first and second rounds of NEET UG counselling slides to other colleges and the first phase of the allotted college will be cancelled automatically.

 

Step 5: Seat Allotment

 

Seat allotment list for admission will be published on the Admission Committee website. Candidates who are selected are required to report to the allotted college. The conducting body will release the documents that must be verified for admission. Allotted candidates must pay a non-refundable University fee via a payment gateway to download the allotment order.

  • Parent Anti Ragging Bond
  • Course Discontinuation Bond
  • Service Bond

 

Note: Choice filling options for MBBS and BDS for competent and management quotas will be conducted separately.
