UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates, Registration Steps, & Schedule

Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow has released the schedule for UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates on 14th September 2024. The merit list will be released on 20th September, with choice filling from 23rd to 26th September.

 

The Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2024 is organized by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow, for admissions into medical and dental programs in the state. The registration Steps for UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates started on 14th September 2024 at 2:00 PM and will be close on 19th September 2024 at 11:00 AM. Candidates can submit their registration and security fees by 19th September, up until 2:00 PM. The merit list will be published on 20th September, with the choice-filling period running from 23rd to 26th September. The allotment results will be announced on 28th September, and the admission process will take place from 30th September to 5th October.

UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates: Steps to Register 

 

To apply for the UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates, candidates can follow these steps:

 

1. Go to the official UP NEET website at upneet.gov.in.

 

2. Click on the "UP NEET UG 2024 Counselling Round 2 registration" link on the homepage.

 

 

3. Enter your registration details and submit.

 

 

4. Complete the application form and pay the application fee.

 

 

5. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

 

 

6. Keep a printed copy for future reference.

 

New candidates who are interested in participating in UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates must pay ₹30,000 as security for government seats and ₹2 lakh for private medical college seats. For private dental colleges, the security deposit is ₹1,00,000. Those who did not register in the first round must pay a registration fee of ₹2,000 to participate in the UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates by registering online.

 

UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates Eligibility Criteria

 

1. Nationality: Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are eligible to apply.

 

2. Domicile: Candidates must either be residents of Uttar Pradesh or possess a valid residency certificate from the state.

 

3. Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

 

4. Minimum Aggregate Marks: General category candidates need to achieve at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in their qualifying exam. Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) require a minimum of 40%.

 

5. Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year. There is currently no upper age limit for NEET UG, according to the latest guidelines.

 

6. NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must have passed the NEET UG exam and achieved the minimum qualifying percentile set by regulatory authorities.

 

7. Mandatory Subjects: The qualifying exam must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

 

8. Document Verification: Eligibility applies to Indian citizens, NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs for document verification.

 

UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates- Counselling Process

The counselling process generally includes four rounds: the first, second, third, and a stray vacancy round (if needed). Here's a simplified overview of each round:

 

1. First Round Counselling:

 

  • Candidates who are offered seats in government and private medical/dental colleges have a "free exit" option. If they choose not to accept the seat, their security deposit will be refunded.

 

  • Those who opt for the free exit can participate in the second or third rounds.

 

2. Second Round Counselling:

 

  • Candidates who were admitted in the first round do not need to pay the security deposit again.

 

  • Accepting seats in the UPNEET Counselling 2024 Round 2 New Dates is mandatory, and failing to do so will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

 

  • Candidates who received a seat in the first round but reject the second-round allocation will lose their security deposit. However, any other fees (except admission and tuition fees for private colleges) will be refunded.

 

3. Third Round Counselling:

 

  • Candidates who were not allocated a seat in the first or second round do not need to pay the security deposit again.

 

  • Accepting seats in the third round is mandatory; otherwise, the security deposit will be forfeited.

 

  • If government college candidates reject the third-round seats, they will forfeit both their security deposit and fees.

 

  • Private college candidates who reject third-round seats will forfeit their security deposit and 50% of the tuition fees.

 

  • Vacant reserved category seats will be reallocated using a specified conversion algorithm.

 

4. Stray Vacancy Round:

 

  • Only candidates who were not allotted seats in previous rounds or those who didn't secure admission through All India NEET UG counselling are eligible.

 

  • BDS candidates from earlier rounds can apply for MBBS seats in this round after depositing the required security deposit online.

 

  • A separate registration fee of ₹1,000 is needed to participate after the registration steps.

 

  • Candidates who haven't participated in earlier rounds must deposit the security amount to join.

 

  • Previously registered and unallotted candidates do not need to redeposit the security money.

 

  • All candidates who are allotted seats must present original educational and reservation certificates at the assigned college or nodal center. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

 

  • Candidates who refuse admission after being allotted a seat in this round will lose their security deposit and will be barred from participating in UP NEET UG counselling for 2025-26.
