IPU MBBS Admission 2024: Round 1 Counselling Dates, Process, Schedule Out

 

The Round 1 counselling process for admission into MBBS programs through Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) for the 2024 academic session has officially commenced. This is an important step for prospective medical students aiming to secure IPU MBBS Admission.

Important Announcement for IPU MBBS Counselling 2024-25

 

This update follows the University Notification released on August 1, 2024. All stakeholders and candidates who have applied for IPU MBBS admission based on their 

 

 

IPU MBBS Admission will be offered purely on merit, based on the All India Rank (AIR) of the NEET UG 2024 exam, in line with the qualifying percentile.

 

I. Online Filling of Choices/Preferences

 

To be eligible for the round 1 counselling allotment, candidates must complete the online filling of choices/preferences for available seats. Only candidates who have already completed their online application and paid the requisite application fee of ₹1500 (non-refundable), and the counselling participation fee of ₹1000 (non-refundable), will be allowed to proceed.

Candidates must fill out their choices within this timeframe to be considered for seat allotment. Missing this deadline will result in disqualification from Round 1 Counselling.

 

II. Declaration of Round 1 Counselling Result

 

Once the choices have been filled and submitted, candidates will need to await the announcement of the Round 1 Counselling allotment results.

 

• Tentative Date for Result Declaration: August 29, 2024

III. Post-Declaration Procedure

 

After the result of Round 1 Counselling is declared, candidates who are allotted a seat must follow a series of steps to confirm their admission.

 

IV. Schedule for Round 2 of Online Counselling

 

After the completion of Round 1 Counselling, the schedule for Round 2 counselling will be announced. This is expected to take place on or after September 13, 2024.

 

V. General Instructions:

 

Here are some critical instructions to keep in mind as you go through the counselling process:

 

1. Eligibility Requirements: Make sure you have read and understood the eligibility requirements outlined in the IPU MBBS Admission Brochure. 

 

2. Accuracy of Information: Candidates are solely responsible for ensuring that all details they submit during the round 1 counselling application process (such as region, category, etc.) are correct. Any discrepancies discovered later will lead to the cancellation of IPU MBBS Admission, and fees paid will be forfeited.

 

3. Apply Early: To avoid last-minute problems, it’s advised that you complete your round 1 counselling application and choice filling early. The university is not responsible for any technical difficulties encountered at the last minute.

 

4. Region-Specific Seats: Candidates applying under the Delhi region must have completed their 11th and 12th-grade education in schools/colleges located in Delhi. Incorrect filling of forms will result in seat cancellation.

 

5. Provisional Admission Slip: After successful round 1 counselling allotment and payment of the part academic fee, generate and print the Provisional Admission Slip, which is required for document verification at the college.

 

VI. Reporting and Document Verification

 

Once a candidate has been allotted a seat, they must report to their respective allocated institutions for verification of their documents. The balance of the academic fee must also be paid during this reporting phase, failing which the admission will be canceled.

 

Institutions will report the status of candidates to the IPU MBBS Admission, and any seats left vacant after Round 1 Counselling due to non-reporting or withdrawal will be filled in subsequent rounds.
