KCET 2026 Counselling Process

All the 2,649 candidates appearing on the KEA KCET 2026 special category eligibility lists are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

The KCET 2026 counselling process is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary, and other professional courses. There are primarily 3 major rounds in the KCET 2026 counselling process, which include round 1, round 2, and the mop-up round (round 3). There may be additional rounds in KCET 2026 counselling based on the availability of seats.

Candidates must register to participate in the KCET 2026 counselling process. After successful registration, they must fill out their college and course preferences. This phase is called the choice filling phase. Candidates can enter as many options as possible based on their preferences. Filling the choices in the order of preference is very important as the seats are allotted to candidates based on candidate choices.

Seat allotment is carried out based on KCET rank, reservation category, seat availability, and the choices entered by candidates. Students who receive a seat can choose to accept it, seek a better option in later rounds, reject it, or exit the counselling process according to KEA guidelines. After accepting an allotted seat, candidates must pay the required fee and report to the allotted college within the specified deadline to confirm admission.
