Option Entry Registration and Fee Payment

Candidates must register their option entry for allotment. A registration fee of Rs. 5,000/- must be remitted to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. This fee will be adjusted against the tuition fee for those who secure admission. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC categories and certain other groups are required to pay a reduced registration fee of Rs. 500/-. This fee is refundable if the candidate does not receive an allotment, but non-refundable if the candidate fails to join after being allotted a seat.

The registration fees can be paid either through online payment or at any Head Post Office in Kerala.

Token Fee for Self-Financing Colleges

Candidates who receive an allotment to self-financing MBBS and BDS colleges must remit a token fee to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. For MBBS courses, the token fee is Rs. 1 lakh for general category students and Rs. 5 lakhs for NRI category students. For BDS courses, the token fee is Rs. 1 lakh for all categories, including the NRI quota.

The token fee must be paid promptly to secure the allotted seat. Failure to remit the token fee will result in the loss of the seat, and such candidates will not be considered for future allotments.

Important Considerations for Option Entry - KEAM Kerala 2024

1. Option Selection: Candidates should carefully do the option entry for KEAM Kerala 2024 during the registration process. Only those options that candidates are serious about joining should be submitted, as there is no provision for fresh option entry registration for MBBS and BDS courses in subsequent phases unless new colleges are included.

2. Consequences of Non-Admission: Candidates who fail to take admission within the stipulated time after KEAM Kerala 2024 allotment will lose their seats and will not be considered for further allotment.

3. Provisional Fees: The fees for self-financing MBBS and BDS colleges for the academic year 2024-25 are provisional and subject to change. Candidates may be required to pay additional fees if the final fee structure is higher than the provisional fee.

KEAM Kerala 2024 is a critical opportunity for aspiring MBBS and BDS students in Kerala. Candidates are urged to act quickly, register their option entry, and ensure they complete all necessary steps within the specified time frames. Regularly visiting the official website www.cee.kerala.gov.in for updates and notifications is highly recommended.
