The last date to complete the NEET Application Form 2025 is 7th March (up to 11:50 PM), and the fee payment deadline is the same. Candidates can correct any details and particulars in their NEET Application Form 2025 until the 9th March.


The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) is the standardized medical admissions entrance test of India. With the NEET Application Form 2025 released, the National Testing Agency has commenced the conduction procedures of the undergraduate medical entrance exam. This article will provide detailed insights into the latest updates on the NEET Application Form 2025 dates, steps for form-filling, the NEET syllabus for 2025, exam pattern, and vital eligibility norms for Indian, NRI, and OCI aspirants. 


NEET 2025 Eligibility for Indian, NRI, and OCI Candidates

Eligibility to appear in the NEET UG exam is subject to the regulations determined by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI). NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Indian nationality candidates is as follows:

General NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: 

Candidates must understand the exam eligibility before completing the NEET Application Form 2025. 

1. They must be at least 17 years of age at admission or complete that age on or before 31st December during admission time. Lower age limit particulars for NEET 2025 are detailed in the table below:


For General (UR) / General - EWS Candidates

 

 
Born on or Before December 31, 2008.


For SC  /ST / OBCNCL/ PwBD / PwD Categories


NOTE:
Indian Citizens and Overseas Citizens of India who wish to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in foreign Medical / Dental Institutes must also qualify for the NEET 2025 exam.

Academic NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Candidates in the General category must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

  2. For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology are taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates. Failure to fulfill the above eligibility will bar the student from filling the NEET Application Form 2025.

  3. Students who have pursued their former education abroad to seek medical education in India must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with 50% marks in Class 12, and their equivalency is determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The National Testing Agency also enlists seven qualifying examination codes for candidates to refer to. These codes further determine the applicants’ eligibility to fill out the NEET Application Form 2025.

NEET 2025 Eligibility for NRI and OCI Candidates


NRI and OCI applicants must upload a Certificate from the Indian Embassy in their country to verify their status when they apply for the NEET UG 2025. They should keep the original document to show during counselling or admission. Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), people of Indian origin, and foreign nationals are eligible for admission into medical, dental, and other health-related colleges based on the rules set by various state governments and institutions. Non-compliance with the above eligibility criteria will prevent students from completing the NEET Application Form 2025.

Additionally, following a Supreme Court ruling on February 3, 2023, OCIs will retain the rights and privileges they had before the notice issued on March 4, 2021.

NEET 2025 Exam Pattern


The NEET 2025 exam will revert to the pre-COVID pattern, as mentioned in the public notice released on January 25. This means the exam will have 180 compulsory questions, which candidates must answer in 180 minutes. The table below breaks down the subject-wise question distribution for NEET UG 2025.

The marking scheme for NEET UG 2025 remains the same as for the previous papers. A correct answer earns candidates four marks (+4), minus one (-1) for marking incorrect options. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions. NEET 2025 will be conducted in a single day, on May 4th, in pen and paper mode. To promote inclusivity and equal opportunities for candidates from all linguistic backgrounds, the exam will be conducted in 13 languages.

The National Testing Agency, the official NEET UG exam conducting body, released the official information bulletin on February 7th, 2025. This was followed by the notification of the NEET Application Form 2025. The last date to complete the form is 7th March 2025 (up to 11:50 PM), and the fee payment deadline is the same. Candidates can correct any details and particulars in their NEET Application Form 2025 until the 9th of March.

Upon completing the NEET Application Form 2025 filling process, the National Testing Agency will release the NEET 2025 City Intimation Slip by April 26. Candidates can download their NEET Admit Cards from the NTA website by 1st May.

Steps to Fill the NEET Application Form 2025

Step 1: Registration Form

  • Visit the official NTA Website to access the “Online” only NEET Application Form 2025.

  • Register for the Online NEET Application Form 2025 and ensure to note down your system-generated application number.

Step 2: NEET Application Form 2025

  • Fill in the required details as asked; you must also create a password and choose a security question.

  • An application number will be generated after successfully entering all the details. Students can use this number and password for future logins.

  • Choose the Question Paper medium, preferred NEET 2025 exam city, educational qualification details, and other required images and documents.

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Upon completing the registration and NEET Application Form 2025-filling steps, aspirants must pay the requisite examination fee. Candidates can pay the NEET Application Form 2025 fee through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.  

  • A confirmation page shall appear after the successful fee payment for the NEET Application Form 2025.

  • Download, save, and print a copy of the NEET Application Form 2025 confirmation page. Students can complete all three steps separately. However, their NEET UG 2025 Application will be considered successful only after they have paid the fee. 

With the NEET Application Form 2025 filing now live, students must gear up for the final stages of their preparation. All Candidates appearing in NEET UG 2025 must regularly check the updates on the websites of NTA, MoH&FW, AACCC, the Medical Counselling Committee homepage, and other concerned Authorities of participating States/Universities/Institutions until the conclusion of the final counseling round. Students must adhere to the required sizes of uploaded photos and documents when filling out the NEET Application Form 2025. They must also ensure the successful payment of the fee upon completing the first two steps of completing the first two NEET Application Form 2025 filling steps.
