RMC Disability Certificate Mandatory for Tamil Nadu MBBS Admissions in 2025

RMC Disability Certificate Mandatory for Tamil Nadu MBBS Admissions in 2025

Candidates applying under the PwD category for Tamil Nadu MBBS admissions 2025 must obtain a disability certificate from a designated Regional Medical Centre (RMC). Check eligibility, certificate process, and official guidelines.

Tamil Nadu mandates a Regional Medical Centre (RMC) disability certificate for Tamil Nadu MBBS Admissions in 2025 for aspirants applying under the 5% PwD (Persons with Disabilities) quota. Issued digitally via the MCC portal, this certificate is essential for eligibility in both All-India and state-level counseling. A standard disability certificate will not suffice during special-category counselling.

What is an RMC Disability Certificate?

The RMC Disability Certificate is a digitally signed disability document with a QR code, issued only by designated medical colleges empanelled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). It confirms the candidate’s disability percentage and category, ensuring standardised evaluation across India.

Q3. Can I use the RMC Disability Certificate for PG later?

The RMC certificate is a non-negotiable requirement for all PwD NEET UG candidates applying under Tamil Nadu MBBS Admissions in 2025. Whether you apply early with a provisional certificate or wait for the official RMC version, ensure that the final document is submitted before special-category counselling. Candidates who fail to meet this requirement will lose eligibility under the PwD quota, regardless of their NEET score.

Start early, stay alert for MCC notifications, and book your RMC appointment as soon as the portal opens. Proper documentation can make the difference between securing your dream MBBS seat and missing it due to technicalities.
